Multiomics analysis of Argonauta argo and Argonauta hians shell . Argonauta

Argonaut octopuses secrete shell from their arms and form a fine shell, whereas the octopus ancestor has lost the outer shell shared in molluscs. In order to revolutionize the shell in the Argonauts, it is presumed that shell-associated genes are concealedly preserved even in the genome of octopuses without shells. In this research, we applied de novo identification of gene set to track the gene expression patterns in the argonauts and molecular evolution processes.
