In the fiscal year 2020, the electricity demand in the transportation sector in Japan amounted to approximately 17.3 billion kilowatt hours. Figures have remained at roughly the same level in recent years, although a very slow downward trend can be observed. In the measured time period, the transportation sector had the smallest electricity demand compared to other sectors.
