THE IMPORTANCE OF A LEARNING-ORIENTED PSYCHOLOGICAL ENVIRONMENT IN FOREIGN LANGUAGE LESSONS

A learning-oriented psychological environment plays a crucial role in the effectiveness of foreign language instruction. Such an environment fosters emotional safety, motivation, cognitive engagement, and communicative confidence among learners. The present article examines the theoretical foundations and practical significance of creating a psychologically supportive and learning-centered atmosphere in foreign language classrooms. Through the analysis of pedagogical, psychological, and neurolinguistic research, the study highlights how factors such as reduced anxiety, positive teacher–student interaction, autonomy support, and constructive feedback contribute to successful language acquisition. The article also discusses practical strategies for educators to cultivate a learning-oriented psychological environment and presents the expected educational outcomes of its implementation.
