Canine gastrointestinal microbiome. gut metagenome

The purpose of this study was to compare the effect of supplemented hyper-immunized serum to newly born puppies and how it may alter their microbiome. Fecal samples were collected at days 2, 21, 42, and 56 to monitor any shifts in microbial communities. There was a control group which was sampled similarly to the treated group, however, they did not receive hyper-immunized serum over the time periods described. Fecal samples were also taken from the dams for comparison purposes.
