This dataset contains the complete multimodal coding matrix underlying the analysis reported in Villanueva-Jordán (forthcoming). The workbook records the analysis of 41 illustrated units from Maisie Paradise Shearring’s adaptation of Oscar Wilde’s “The Happy Prince” according to interpersonal, ideational, and textual metafunctions and language–image interaction. It also provides aggregated frequencies used to support the qualitative analysis presented in the article.
