Mus musculus Stra8-deficient fetal ovary transcriptome. Mus musculus strain:B6.Cg-Stra8tm1Dcp

We generated Stra8-deficient and wild-type control embryos by mating B6.Cg-Stra8tm1Dcp/+ heterozygote mice. Three biological replicate ovaries for each genotype were collected at embryonic day 14.5. Total RNA, of about 1 ug, was extracted using Trizol (Invitrogen) according to manufacturer’s instructions. Hemoglobin transcripts were selectively removed from total RNA by following GLOBINclear (Ambion) protocol recommendations. Libraries were prepared using the Illumina TruSeq RNA Sample Preparation Kit. Libraries were multiplexed and sequenced on the Illumina HiSeq 2000 platform to obtain 40-base-pair single reads.
