Images from an Archaeological Excavation at Urlay Nook Road, Urlay Nook, Stockton-on-Tees, June 2022

This collection comprises images from an Archaeological Excavation at Urlay Nook Road, Urlay Nook, Stockton-on-Tees. Work was carried out by Pre-Construct Archaeology Ltd Durham in June 2022.The archaeological investigations undertaken comprised the excavation of two trenches. Geological deposits, the post-medieval Urlay Nook Farm and modern deposits/services were encountered. Most of the post-medieval farm had been truncated however remains of a metalled surface, a brick/concrete wall and the northern part of a gin-gang (horse-engine house) were uncovered.
