Functional Requirements for Wellbeing Aware Resource Allocation in Industry 5.0 BPM Systems - Supplementary Technical Documentation

This repository contains supplementary technical documentation accompanying the research paper “Functional Requirements for Wellbeing-Aware Resource Allocation in Industry 5.0 BPM Systems”, accepted to the BPMDS 2026 conference. The files document the artefacts produced during the four-step requirements elicitation methodology described in Section 3 of the paper, the first number in each file name corresponds to the respective step. In Step 1, inductive (open) coding was applied to three company scenarios to identify industry-specific and wellbeing-related codes, with each scenario documented in a separate file. In Step 2, open coding was conducted on a comprehensive literature review to identify general contextual codes related to resource allocation. In Step 3, the codes from both analyses were consolidated into a unified code set. In Step 4, this consolidated set was used to derive functional requirements (Level 4), which were subsequently abstracted into core functions (Level 3) and core components (Level 2), thereby documenting the intermediate steps leading to the proposed requirements structure.
