Operating mines of South Africa. Feb 2026 version.

This dataset is the result of years of data collection on all the operating mines in South Africa. It was originally developed to support research on operationalising the SDGs in the mining sector, and research on mine closure risks and opportunities. Is an updated and expanded version of my previously published dataset.
