The global analysis and forecast products for thermohaline circulation (001-015) and chlorophyll (001-028) were downloaded via File Transfer Protocol (FTP) from the Copernicus Marine Environment Monitoring Service (CMEMS) website. These products were developed by Mercator Ocean (Toulouse, France). They are built upon the Pelagic Interactions Scheme for Carbon and Ecosystem Studies (PISCES) biogeochemical model, which is accessible on the Nucleus for European Modelling of the Ocean (NEMO) modeling platform at https://www.nemo-ocean.eu/. The model is forced offline at daily intervals using CMEMS global physical analysis products, with the model grid coarsened to 1/4°, and integrates SEEK/IAU data assimilation for global ocean chlorophyll data retrieved from satellite observations.
