Measurement of vegetated and non-vegetated objects for the adaptation of calculation models.

This dataset contains measurements over two winter and one summer season for the energy monitoring of green façades and green roofs as well as corresponding reference systems without vegetation. Measuremets were taken on a façade test-box with two identical rooms, one with vertical greenery and one with a bare façade, both with up-to date insulation standard. Green roof data was collected on two identically built-up roof test boxes with 18cm of insulation, one reduced-intensive green roof (15cm substrate) and one reference gravel roof. Data were collected during 2 years and include time-aggregated environmental, radiation, temperature, humidity, heat flow, thermal performance, and soil moisture parameters collected within the research project MARGRET. Corresponding vegetation data is also included: coverage ratio and cubic plant volume as well as plant irrigation water volumes during 2024 and 2025. The data support the analysis of shading, thermal behavior, energy exchange, microclimate and water use in vegetated and non-vegetated building envelopes.
