ASKAP Data Products for Project AS310 (A Radio Reference for the Rubin Deep Drilling Fields): catalogues

The Vera C. Rubin Observatory will begin full survey operations in 2025. It will carry out a paradigm shifting survey of the sky and detect time-variable objects such as Active Galactic Nuclei, Tidal Disruption Events and kilonovae at an unprecedented rate, as well as being one of the deepest widefield optical surveys ever undertaken. Studying the objects discovered by Rubin will require comprehensive multi-wavelength observations, but the sheer number of sources to observe makes dedicated follow-up inefficient. In this project we propose ASKAP observations of five Rubin ``Deep Drilling Fields'' in order to provide deep reference images for future studies. These observations will form a legacy product that has utility to the entire astronomical community. We were allocated 30h to target 3 DDFs during 2024APR and now request 20h to target the remaining 2 DDFs.
