Constructing a Dataset of Monthly Air Passengers at German Airports Based on Publicly Available Monthly Reports

The Excel Document provided in this dataset contains helpful formulas for researchers who wish to extend the data either into the past or the future. The document serves as a tool which structures and facilitates the time-consuming process of preparing and collecting data from monthly PDF reports. It may also provide helpful insights into the process of collating the data based on monthly air traffic reports by the "Arbeitsgemeinschaft Deutscher Verkehrsflughäfen e.V." (Community of German Passenger Airports), which is referenced in my thesis. The formulas used make an efficient transferal of the data from PDF to CSV more manageable. The final CSV produced by this document can then be imported into any statistical program of choice. Please refer to the "Replication Data" available in this dataverse for full RStudio analysis code.
