Whitefish Size Variation in Lake Oulujärvi Catches 1972-2017

The dataset contains measures for annual age-specific length and mass variation (mean, standard deviation, sample size) of whitefish (Coregonus lavaretus) individuals (N = 50,600) in catches from Lake Oulujärvi. The whitefish have been caught as a part of a routine monitoring program for the fisheries compensation measures. The size measurements and scale sampling for individual age determination have been taken by local bookkeeping fishermen from their gillnet, fykenet or seine net catches.
