Because of the standardization of data, fields titles and of metadata, during the curation and enhancements done by John Snow Labs (JSL) data researchers the datasets based on PUF files are easy to use alone or in combination with other data products available at John Snow Labs. The release by CMS of the Public Use Files was made possible using non-identifiable claims data. Claims are filled usually by doctors or suppliers or by the patient, if doctors or suppliers don’t fill the claim.
