Programs in Real Solidarity Leasing (BRS) of the Metropolis of Lyon

The Real Solidarity Lease (RSF) is based on a dissociation of land and buildings. A solidarity land agency (SFO) acquires the land, while the household buys only the housing. This makes it possible to access property at prices that are on average around 20% lower than those on the market. On the territory of the Métropole de Lyon, the Foncière Solidaire du Grand Lyon has the role of OFS and ensures the acquisition of the land. Households then pay him a monthly fee capped by the Metropolis of Lyon around 1.70 euros per m² habitable. Since the launch of the system in 2020, more than 2,000 homes have been approved in BRS by the Foncière du Grand Lyon.
