资源简介:
This thesis contributes to the application of high-detail atmospheric simulations to real-world scenarios. It presents a framework in which turbulence-resolving models can receive large-scale atmospheric conditions from models that represent broader weather patterns in less detail. This approach enables more realistic and detailed studies of interactions between large- and small-scale atmospheric processes. The setup will support improvements in our understanding of weather systems and enhance a range of other atmospheric models, such as those used for forecasting. The implementation is evaluated in a controlled environment and demonstrated through a case study of cloud organisation in the Caribbean trade wind region.
