Wave gauge and temperature data from Point Cabrillo, September 1997 through 31 December 2009

A bottom-mounted wave gauge (SeaBird SBE26; Sea-Bird Electronics, Bellevue, Washington, USA) was installed at a depth of ∼10 m, 50 m offshore of transects located at the northwest portion of Point Cabrillo (Hopkins Marine Station). High-resolution measurements of water pressure that capture wave action were integrated to estimate tide height (water column pressure in pounds per square inch) every 15 minutes. Temperature [degrees Celsius] was also measured. The dataset consists of 13 plain text files where each file contains one year of data, running from 1997 through 2009 (dataset begins on 14 October 1997).
