资源简介:
This dataset was generated to characterize transcriptomic differences underlying the development of distinct wing color patterns in Papilio lowii swallowtail butterflies. In this species, along with several of its close relatives, females are polymorphic in their wing patterning and this polymorphism is controlled by the transcription factor doublesex (dsx). Alternate dsx alleles determine the alternate adult female color patterns, while males always develop a single non-mimetic color pattern. This BioProject includes RNA-seq time series data from late larval through late pupal development of females and males that were homozygous for the mimetic or non-mimetic allele, and heterozygotes. It also includes a genome assembly and annotation generated from a P. lowii mimetic female.
