A small child wearing a beaded necklace sits on the ground and puts something into her mouth. Chickens and birds of various sizes are walking around the child.; The back of the postcard has a handwritten note in French and contains a printed title: "Missions Africaines de Lyon - La Vie est Belle (Dahomey)." ("African Missions of Lyon - Life is Beautiful.") The back also contains information about the printer: "Helio N.E.A. - Paris-Lille."
