资源简介:
Forest Ecosystem Dynamics (FED) Project Spatial Data Archive: Daily Meteorological Data for Northern Experimental Forest The Biospheric Sciences Branch (formerly Earth Resources Branch) within the Laboratory for Terrestrial Physics at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center and associated University investigators are involved in a research program entitled Forest Ecosystem Dynamics (FED) which is fundamentally concerned with vegetation change of forest ecosystems at local to regional spatial scales (100 to 10,000 meters) and temporal scales ranging from monthly to decadal periods (10 to 100 years). The nature and extent of the impacts of these changes, as well as the feedbacks to global climate, may be addressed through modeling the interactions of the vegetation, soil, and energy components of the boreal ecosystem. This data contains daily meteorologic measurements from sensors located on the top of the 26 meter tower at the Northern Experimental Forest for the years 1987 through 1992. The sensors are approximately 6 meters above the mean canopy height of the ecotonal boreal forest found at this site. The data was collected by the University of Maine at the flux tower site located within the NEF. The variables measured were average air temperature, average relative humidity, average solar radiation, and total precipitation. Lines showing Year, Day, Time only indicate hours when the entire system was off line. "-999's" in a data field indicates bad or missing data. Note that nightime values of less than 2 watts per square meter should be considered to be zero.
