Ground subsidence and subsurface hydrology was measured throughout the thaw season to determine the degree of thaw consolidation experienced and the interconnection between ground ice, subsurface flow, and subsidence. The goal was to better understand the surface-subsurface dynamic, the spatial variability associated with subsidence, and quantify the degree of change occurring within the landscapes.
