This project involves the sequencing of total RNA species in a region of the brain that regulates eating behavior and energy expenditure. We use a mouse model that carries a deletion of of a cluster of small RNAs found in Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS). We aim to understand how this deletion affects hyperphagia and obesity observed in PWS.
