Transcriptome modulation by chemical complementation of flavonols alters camalexin and glucosinolate biosynthesis in Arabidopsis thaliana

Total RNA was isolated from one week old A. thaliana seedlings supplemented with 100 micromolar of each kaempferol, quercetin, and rutin, independently, for 24 hours. The RNA-Seq paired-end sequencing libraries were prepared from the quantity and quality check (QC) passed RNA samples. The QC of libraries were analyzed on Agilent 4200 Tape Station and the sequencing was carried out on an Illumina platform.We performed RNA-Seq analysis of Col-0 vs fls1-3 mutant and fls1-3 vs fls1-3 supplemented with each kaempferol, quercetin, and rutin, independently, to study the genome-wide changes in genes expression. The comparative RNA-Seq analysis suggested modulation of various biological processes and metabolic pathways by flavonols.
