Is the activity in the Milky Way disc sustaining the Galactic coronaquestionMark

Covering the central 20*2.5deg2 of the Milky Way disc with 20ks XMM exposureswill allow us to measure the flows of hot baryons emerging from the energeticactivity in the disc, to detail their impact on the surroundings and to connectthe sources in the disc with the base of the Galactic outflow. By connecting therequested XMM scan with the shallow all sky eROSITA survey, we will determinewhether the activity in the Galactic disc is important for feeding andsustaining the Galactic corona. This study will provide us with an excellentarchetype for advancing our understanding of galaxy evolution theory in aMilkyWayclass galaxy.
