Toxoplasma gondii is a world-wide spread pathogen which infects one-third of the world population. ROP18 is a phosphokinase that can be excreted into host cytoplasm. The protein has been identified as important virulence factor of T. gondii, however, the role of ROP18 in the host cell remains to be dissected. The transcriptomic analysis of present study revealed that ROP18 of T. gondii (Genotype I strain) can regulate host gene expression.
