资源简介:
Is the dairy cows fait relying on her large intestinal bacteriome? Over a period of 168 days, fecal samples of 55 dairy cows at 13 time points were collected, starting from 42 days before to 126 days after calving. This particularly long period of time included not only the calving and a lipopolysaccharide (LPS) induces challenge, also L-carnitine, a metabolite inevitably necessary for β-oxidation was fed to one half of the group. The effect of this supplementation did not reveal significant differences on bacteriome and metabolome level. Eight fistulated animals included in this trial revealed significantly different bacteriomes with their unfistulated herd mates at 42 ante partum and 14 days post partum with major differences in Turicibacter and Bifidobacterium abundances. Three Enterotypes across the herd were observed including Bifidobacterium, uncl. Firmicutes and uncl. Spirochaetaceae showing sig. different bacteriomes, community dynamics, diversities, disease patterns, fecal metabolomes and production parameters across long this term study. Conclusion: This is the long-term first study uncovering Enterotypes in dairy Cows, which clearly demonstrate to have an impact on the cows metabolism and the flexibility of the total bacterial community.
