The LAI4EO Consortium is building a harmonised, openly available global database of in-situ Leaf Area Index (LAI) field measurements for the calibration and validation of satellite Earth observation products. The initiative is led by NASA Harvest (University of Maryland) and CNR-IREA (Institute for Electromagnetic Sensing of the Environment, National Research Council of Italy). This is the initial dataset curated by LAI4EO containing 2485 in-situ LAI measurements containing data from France, Australia, and Italy. It is still a work-in-progress - soon the supporting datasets would be uploaded (dataset schema, publications table, protocol document, ...)
