This series is a single volume which contains items of inward correspondence received from America. Letters deal mostly with either the purchase/delivery of books to the library from America or acknowledgments received from various American institutions of the receipt of items from the Library. The letters have not been annotated with details of any action subsequently taken by Library staff after receipt of the item of correspondence. None of the items appear to have been registered into an inward registered correspondence system.Individual items have been pasted into a volume known as a guard book that was specially designed for this purpose.
