Unexpected diversity of Isidoides (Anthozoa: Octocorallia: Isidoidae) revealed by morphology and phylogenomics analysis with descriptions of three new species: dataset and script repository

This dataset accompanies the preprint “Unexpected diversity of Isidoides (Anthozoa: Octocorallia: Isidoidae) revealed by morphology and phylogenomics analysis with descriptions of three new species” and provides material for studying deep-sea octocoral diversity and evolution. Octocorals of the genus Isidoides are key components of deep-sea benthic ecosystems, yet their taxonomy and evolutionary relationships have remained poorly taxon and genetic sampling. The primary objective of this study is to resolve species boundaries and uncover cryptic diversity within this group using a combined morphological and evolutionary framework. 
The dataset contains (1) full resolution taxonomic figures (2) alignment files (phylip format) for mtMutS-cox1, 28S (octocoral barcoding markers), the 75%, 90% and 100% occupancy UCE (Ultra-Conserved Elements) alignments and their corresponding partition files (charset format) in RAxML format (3) introgression analysis tables, (4) data analysis scripts (as azipped github archive), and (5) final SNP datasets as vcf files. It also list accession numbers for all raw genomic data. This dataset contributes to the development of open, reproducible, integrative species delimitation approaches that combine genomic and morphological data. 
Applications to the dataset include development of genomic resources for evolutionary and taxonomic studies, development of bioinformatics tools for integrative taxonomy, conservation of deep-sea marine fauna.
