VPRS 11240 Register of Determinations (Caravan Parks and Moveable Dwellings Act)

This series contains the master copy of determinations laid down by the Residential Tenancies Tribunal (RTT) in matters heard before it under the Caravan Parks and Moveable Dwellings Act (No.51 of 1988). The RTT first sat in this jurisdiction in 1989.The Caravan Parks and Moveable Dwellings Act assigns rights and responsibilities to caravan park owners and caravan owners on one hand and residents who rent caravans or caravan park sites on the other. Under the Act the RTT has responsibility for determining disputes between owners and residents. The Act also defines the powers and jurisdiction of the RTT in determining such disputes and the extent of application of the Residential Tenancies Act 1980 (No.9514) to caravan park and moveable dwelling disputes.Each record of determination is signed by the member of the Tribunal who gave the determination and provides the names of the applicant and respondent, the application number and the Member's legally enforceable decision as to the rights and obligations of the landlord or tenant in respect of each application. The registers, therefore, provide a record of precedent set by the Tribunal.
