Dataset used in the manuscript: Structuring factors of beta diversity in metacommunities of semiaquatic bugs in the central Amazon Basin

Our results show that spatial processes predominantly structure abundance-weighted beta diversity, whereas environmental integrity drives incidence-based differentiation among sites. At the species level, occupancy and niche attributes help identify which taxa contribute most strongly to regional beta diversity. Together, these findings provide general insights into how dispersal constraints, environmental filtering and species’ ecological roles interact to generate variation in community composition.
