RNA modifications have been identified as vital participator in renal fibrogenesis. However, whether ac4C participates in renal fibrogenesis remains unknown. Here, we found that NAT10 and ac4C are upregulated during renal fibrogenesis. Moreover, NAT10 was found to promote renal fibrogenesis via catalyzing ac4C modification of pro-fibrotic genes. Therefore, NAT10-meidated ac4C modification was identified as pro-fibrotic in kidney.
