Extensive pre-glacial surfaces at the East Antarctic margin have modulated ice-sheet evolution: Datasets

This dataset contains the following files:

WilkesLand_flat_surfaces_1km.shp (and ancillary files: .dbf, .prj, .shx): ESRI shapefile of the 31 flat bed surfaces mapped around the sector of the East Antarctic margin covering Princess Elizabeth Land, Wilkes Land, Adélie Land, and George V Land using radio-echo sounding data. Each flat surface has a polygon geometry, with a vertex spacing of ~1 km. Shapefile is referenced to the EPSG:3031 (Antarctic Polar Stereographic) projection.

FlatSurfacesZonalStatistics.xlsx (and .csv): Excel spreadsheet and comma-separated value files containing summary statistics for the 31 flat surfaces mapped around the East Antarctic margin. Surface IDs correspond to those in the attribute table of the ESRI shapefile.
