The strain was verified to produce 2-phenylethanl(2-PE) using de-novo synthetic pathway with monosaccharide as a carbon source and NH4Cl as a nitrogen source. To constructure high efficiency microbial cell factory for 2-PE production using prokaryotic original phenylpyruvate pathway and mine 2-phenylethanol biosynthetic genes from E. sp. CGMCC5087, whole-genome sequencing was applied.
