<b>Development and Efficacy of a Novel Oral Rehabilitation Device</b><b> </b><b>for Dysphagia in Post Stroke Patients</b>

Tongue is the main facilitator for swallowing and speech, it’s functional movement is affected after stroke. Tongue length and strength both can affect it’s functionality. There are limited technical aids available for the rehabiliatation of tongue. We have developed a novel device for this purpose, and it was tested on n=12 patients of stroke suffering from dysphagia. Novel device provided hygenic and clinically distinct imrpvements in tongue length and swallowing functions in studied population, we used a functional prototype in the presnt study, a complete device prototype with full specifications may increase the efficacy further
