Geolocation, accessibility, and prescription of physical health assets in Tarragona (2022-2023)

This dataset contains information collected during the research project about physical health assets available in Tarragona, their geolocation, accessibility from residents' locations, and the prescription of these assets by healthcare professionals. It provides detailed cartographic data obtained through fieldwork (years 2022-2023), municipal census population data (2021), data on average net household income (2021), geolocation and features of physical health assets (sports equipment and outdoor recreational areas), as well as results from a survey addressed to healthcare professionals from Tarragona's basic health areas regarding physical activity prescription. The dataset aims to promote the utilization of health resources to improve population health and quality of life, particularly among older adults, facilitating informed decision-making for healthcare professionals and public managers.
