The compiled μCT dataset includes material of the gecko Hemidactylus (Gekkota, Squamata). Whole body scans of several embryonic specimens were generated, as well as hands of a hatchling and an adult. The dataset is part of a morphological description and developmental staging of Hemidactylus. μCT scans were performed using a Phoenix nanotom X-ray|s at the Museum für Naturkunde Berlin. Scans were reconstructed to a 3D volume using datos|x (Version 2.0, GE Sensing & Inspection Technologies GmbH phoenix|x-ray). Data were analyzed and visualized with VolumeGraphics Studio Max (Version 2.2., Volume Graphics).
