资源简介:

Alex Tritt's entry for Visualise Your Thesis 2023. About this research I'm working on a non-invasive method of measuring the waveforms neural electrical communication using quantum sensors made of cold atoms that are sensitive to magnetic fields. Transcript Alex here with a great new proof-of-concept! Electrophysiologists like you, wanna research epilepsy, by looking at the electrical communication, in a group of neurons. But using traditional "patch clamps" isn't scalable, and can destroy the cell. That's a lot of damage! Introducing... Quantum Compressive Sensing! Magnetic radiation from the neurons, is sensed wirelessly, by atoms cooled to almost absolute zero. Now that's cold! But wait, there's more! The mathematical magic of compressive sensing, means we save on valuable quantum resources. It's also tough on noise, so your signal looks as good as new! Follow this research now!
