Identification of genes and metabolic pathways involved in wounding-altered kiwifruit ripening physiognomy

In this study, our goal was to better understand how mechanical wounding could affect the ripening metabolism of Hayward kiwifruit. The changes in the ripening process were studied in artificially wounded kiwifruits along with the alternations in metabolic and gene expression dynamics. Based on these results, we determined genes and metabolic pathways that are putatively regulated by wounding during ripening.
