Global Major Water Transfer Projects Dataset

This record contains the MWTP inventory dataset generated in this study and its accompanying documentation. The deposited files include an Esri file geodatabase, MWTP.gdb, a Microsoft Excel workbook (MWTP435_Table), and the Google Earth Engine script used for remote sensing-assisted candidate probability mapping. The file geodatabase contains four main components: water intake points, water transfer routes, water transfer influence regions, and an attribute index table. The water intake points are provided as point features, the water transfer routes as line features, and the water transfer influence regions as polygon features. The record also includes the Google Earth Engine script used for remote sensing-assisted random forest candidate probability mapping of visible conveyance infrastructure. The script is provided to document the workflow and support adaptation to user-defined training samples, validation samples, and search areas. This version corresponds to the dataset described in the revised manuscript.
