资源简介:
This dataset provides individual-level tag and recapture records of Japanese seabass (Lateolabrax japonicus) collected through an angler-based tagging program conducted by the Japan Game Fish Association from 1987 to 2023 in Tokyo Bay, Japan. A total of 664 recapture cases are included after data filtering, as described in the associated publication. Each record contains information on tag ID, dates, and fork lengths at release and recapture, and geographic locations coded by a custom mesh grid system designed for spatial analysis within Tokyo Bay. Approximately 98% seabass released in Tokyo Bay remained within the bay or its inflowing rivers. These data were used to estimate growth rates across decades using the GROTAG model and generalized additive models, which revealed size-specific temporal shifts in growth patterns. The dataset is suitable for reuse in studies related to seabass growth and migration ecology.

## Description of the data and file structure
This dataset contains the following two files:
* `RecaptureData.csv`\
Individual-level records of seabass recapture events. Recapture events identify (ID), tag number (Tag), date at release, FL at release, release area, date at recapture, FL at recapture, and recapture area are shown.
* `MeshMap.pdf`\
Numbering of the mesh map in Tokyo Bay. The mesh grids are defined based on the southern boundary point on the western side of Tokyo Bay (35°08'00.0\"N, 139°37'00.0\"E), with a latitude interval of 0.09° and a longitude interval of 0.11°.
