CoWITE DATABASE. Corpus of Women's Instructive Texts in English

The CoWITE Database is a curated digital resource that documents and classifies instructive texts written by women in English between 1550 and 1899. It provides structured metadata on authorship, genre, date, language variant, and subject matter, and supports historical, linguistic, and literary research. While CoWITE19 (1800–1899) and CoWITE18 (1700–1799) are already published and accessible through the DiCoS-LA platform (https://dicos-la.com), additional corpora (CoWITE17 and CoWITE16) are under development and will be released soon. The database continues to evolve as more materials are incorporated and as presentation strategies are refined to ensure clarity, consistency, and scholarly usability.
