Menstrual precariousness situations faced by French women during their lifetime 2021

While Scotland has introduced free menstrual protection for all women in the country and the French Minister of Higher Education, Frédérique Vidal, has decided to set up free protection dispensers in universities for the start of the 2021 academic year, the issue of menstrual precariousness remains more than ever a pressing topic. The source therefore wanted to measure the extent of this phenomenon, and the results are quite striking: in March 2021 it had already happened to one French woman out of four not to use as much menstrual protection as necessary because of lack of money. One out of five had already had to choose between buying these protections and another basic necessity (like food for example).
