To explore the importance of the lipid metabolism gene ECI2 in colorectal cancer, RNA sequencing was performed after overexpression of ECI2 in colorectal cancer cells HCT116. It was observed that ECI2 overexpression caused 41 genes to be upregulated and 599 genes to be downregulated in colorectal cancer cells HCT116.
