Molecular characterization of an outbreak of Clostridioides (Clostridium) difficile ribotype 027. WGS of Clostridioides (Clostridium) difficile ribotype 027

The goal of this Project is the study of a set of Clostridium difficile ribotype 027 strains isolated from an important outbreak in the Gregorio Marañon Hospital from 2014 to 2016.The study includes 2 types of WGS analysis:1. Sequencing and analysis of SNPs in the whole genome to stablish phylogenetic relationships among the strains. 2. Complete sequencing, de novo assembly and gene annotation of 2Clostridium difficile 027 strains, one of them pathogenic and related with theorigin of the outbreak and the other a strain of the same ribotype that did not spread causing secondary cases.
