Dataset on factors influencing Vietnamese student’s motivation and satisfaction under COVID-19 context

This dataset was designed to record university students’ subjective assessment about the quality of education/training programs in Vietnam and their satisfaction regarding COVID-19 based on a 5-point Likert scale measurement. It includes 79 variables divided into 14 groups: the first one is on personal information (without identification); the next 9 are on factors affecting students’ educational motivation and satisfaction including studying quality and subjective norms; the last 4 groups are more detailed assessments of students’ satisfaction under the context of COVID-19 and online learning. All 1680 records of this dataset were collected via an online survey covering all areas in Vietnam. The dataset file has 4 sheets: (1) raw data; (2) details surveyed questions; (3) Cronbach’s alpha test for each group; (4) KMO and Bartlett’s test and variable summary. The Cronbach’s alpha tests help indicate the level of statistical reliability across different variables measuring in each group. KMO test shows the level of sampling adequacy for factor analysis research. This dataset can be used in studies on students’ satisfaction in both traditional learning and online learning under COVID-19. This is also useful for the practice of econometrics with ordinal variables for undergraduate students.
本数据集旨在记录越南大学生对教育/培训项目质量的主观评价及其基于5点李克特量表对COVID-19满意度调查的结果。数据集包含79个变量,分为14组:第一组为个人信息(不含身份信息);接下来9组探讨影响学生教育动机和满意度的因素,包括学习质量和主观规范;最后4组对学生在COVID-19和在线学习背景下的满意度进行了更为详细的评估。本数据集的1680条记录均通过覆盖越南全国范围的在线调查收集而来。数据集文件包含4个工作表:(1)原始数据;(2)调查问卷详情;(3)各组的Cronbach's alpha信度测试;(4)KMO和Bartlett的球形度检验及变量摘要。Cronbach's alpha信度测试有助于表明每个组中不同变量测量的统计可靠性水平。KMO测试展示了进行因子分析研究的抽样适当性水平。本数据集可用于研究在传统学习和COVID-19背景下的在线学习中学生的满意度,同时对于本科生进行有序变量的计量经济学实践亦具有实用价值。
