资源简介:
This dataset comprises paleoceanographic reconstructions from KNR197-10-44GGC using multiple proxies, including coarse fraction percentage; ice rafted detritus counts; planktonic foraminifera abundance (shown as % Neogloboquadrina pachyderma); sortable silt grain size data (analysed on both a Beckman Coulter Multisizer 4 using the Enhanced Performance Multisizer 4 beaker and stirrer setting 30 for full sediment suspension and a Malvern Mastersizer 2000 at University College London) and inferred flow speed; foraminiferal d18O (planktonic foraminifera: Neogloboquadrina pachyderma and Globigerina bulloides; benthic foraminifera: Globobulimina affinis and Nonionellina labradorica) measured on a VG Isogas SIRA mass spectrometer with the MultiCarb preparation system (for sample size > 80 µg) and a Thermo MAT253 isotope ratio mass spectrometer with Kiel IV carbonate preparation device (for sample size < 80 µg) at the Godwin Laboratory, University of Cambridge; foraminiferal trace metals (Mg/Ca, Mn/Ca, Al/Ca and Fe/Ca) (planktonic foraminifera: Neogloboquadrina pachyderma; benthic foraminifera: Globobulimina affinis and Nonionellina labradorica); foraminiferal Mg/Ca derived temperature (planktonic foraminifera: Neogloboquadrina pachyderma; benthic foraminifera: Globobulimina affinis). d18O is reported relative to the VPDB standard, with analytical precision estimated to be better than ±0.07 ‰. The samples for trace metal analysis were cleaned using clay removal, reductive, oxidative, and weak acid leaching steps following established protocols. Samples with > 5 µg post-cleaning weights were analysed for a suite of trace metal elemental ratios at the ICP-MS Trace Metal Lab at the University of Colorado, Boulder.
