资源简介:

Companion deposit to Pienkoß, L. J., van der Linden, S., Janssen, M., Seidel, R., and Marzahn, P. (2026): Seasonal and Long-Term Peat-Surface Motion across Temperate Fen Peatlands in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Germany from Sentinel-1 SBAS InSAR, submitted to Frontiers in Environmental Science (Research Topic: Innovative Support of Remote Sensing Data for Monitoring Peatlands and Wetlands and their Condition). This deposit provides the Sentinel-1 SBAS InSAR data products and the analysis code behind the study, which maps long-term displacement rates and the seasonal "mire-breathing" oscillation across the fen peatlands of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania (MWP), Germany, for 2016–2025. Contents Displacement time series. Strict vertical-dominant SBAS time series (MintPy HDF5, 403 epochs, 40 m, EPSG:32633, metres, positive up), decomposed from ascending track 146 and descending track 168. A pixel is nodata where either orbit direction is masked.Per-orbit MintPy products needed to rebuild the masks: geometry (incidence and azimuth angles), mean spatial coherence, temporal coherence and the temporal-coherence masks of both orbit directions. Derived fits. Per-pixel displacement rate and Fourier seasonal range from a single two-harmonic model, for the vertical-dominant grid and for all peatland pixels of each orbit grid; fits of the 572,183 peatland pixels within MWP and the joint coverage mask; two-harmonic fits of the three focal-site series with bootstrap intervals. Raster products for re-use outside the package: displacement rate (mm/yr) and Fourier seasonal range (mm) as GeoTIFFs for the peatland pixels, vertical-dominant and along the line of sight of each orbit direction (the latter on the full orbit grids), plus the peatland mask, the joint ascending∩descending coverage mask and a four-class land-cover raster on the vertical-dominant grid. Forcing and field data at the focal sites: DWD gridded root-zone soil moisture, RADOLAN daily precipitation, a 0.5 m UAV orthomosaic crop for Sandhagen, and the GNSS time series of the two reference stations GREI and WREN. Analysis code. The Python package peat_surface_motion reproduces every figure and table of the manuscript and its supplement from the deposited files, with one script per item, a run_all entry point and a pinned conda environment. A complete run in a clean environment reproduced the manuscript figures pixel-identically and the tables numerically; Figure 8 and Table S8 additionally need the extensometer records, which are not included. Focal sites: Malchin Ost, Bargischow Süd and Sandhagen. Processing: Sentinel-1 IW interferograms from ASF HyP3 (GAMMA), SBAS time-series inversion in MintPy with ERA5 tropospheric correction, ramp and DEM-error estimation, and unwrapping-error correction; the peatland mask is the aggregated organic-soil map of Germany of the Greifswald Mire Centre (Tegetmeyer et al., 2021). File layout: the ZIP archive holds the complete deposit except the vertical time series, which is provided as four parts (timeseries_vertical_strict.h5.part01–part04); README.md explains how to join them and gives the MD5 checksum of the joined file. Not redistributed here: Sentinel-1 SLC data, the HyP3 interferograms, ERA5 fields, the full line-of-sight stacks, third-party land-cover and peatland maps, and the two Thünen Institute extensometer records (Bargischow Süd and Sandhagen). The README lists each source and how the package obtains it; two third-party datasets are downloaded automatically by a helper tool. Small third-party extractions that are included (DWD soil moisture and precipitation, NGL GNSS time series, the NUTS boundary of MWP) keep their providers' terms, as listed in the README. Funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG) within the Collaborative Research Centre TRR 410 "WETSCAPES2.0" (Project ID 531801029).
