Tardigrades are constantly exposed to multiple biotic stresses, including parasites and internal microbiomes. However, the mechanisms for how tardigrades fight these stresses are unknown. Characterizing the tardigrade immune system is thus required to understand how tardigrades respond to biotic stress. Transcriptome of Mesobiotus philipinicus is sequenced for this purpose.
